Job Summary
The University of Utah is seeking a detail-oriented Research Associate to join the Traumatic Brain Injury and Concussion Center research team. The preferred candidates will have a PhD in Bioengineering, Biomedical, Neuropsychology, or a related field, with significant expertise in big data analytical methods. The candidate must have expertise in cognitive, psychological, and neuroimaging data collection and analysis methods and be able to train and mentor graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in advanced neuroimaging data analysis. Additionally, the candidate must have experience with violence- and trauma-exposed populations and red-light therapy interventions. Experience in developing training and research grants for federal agencies is also required. In this role, the candidate will collect and analyze data for federally funded trials, analyze large population health datasets, and mentor trainees.
Responsibilities

Collect, organize, and interpret data to inform strategic decisions

Perform scientific and technical duties, including experiments, surveys, neuropsychological assessments, and neuroimaging data analysis

Develop, prepare, and write foundation and federal grants

Train graduate students and postdoctoral fellows on advanced statistical methodologies
