Position Summary
The Radiography Program Director, in collaboration with the Dean of Health Sciences, provides visionary leadership for the Radiography Program, ensuring alignment with the college’s mission and strategic goals.
The Director will oversee all aspects of program administration, including curriculum development, budgeting, accreditation compliance, and faculty supervision. This position also includes instructional responsibilities, requiring a strong background in radiography and a commitment to student-centered teaching.
The Program Director is a full-time faculty member with administrative release time to effectively fulfill leadership duties.
Primary Responsibilities

Lead and manage all operations of the Radiography Program.

Develop and oversee curriculum, ensuring alignment with JRCERT accreditation standards.

Manage program budget and resources effectively.

Supervise and evaluate full- and part-time faculty and staff.

Teach courses within the Radiography Program, fostering student success and professional growth.

Coordinate program assessment, student learning outcomes (SLOs), and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain strong partnerships with clinical affiliates and external organizations.

Promote a learning-centered, inclusive, and collaborative environment.
Education Requirements
Required:
-
Master’s degree in Radiography or a health-related field from an accredited institution.
-
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiography program.
-
Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) credential.
Preferred:
-
Master’s degree or higher specifically in Radiography.
-
Additional specialty credentials (e.g., Mammography, CT, MRI).
Experience Requirements
Required:
-
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Radiography.
-
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited program.
-
Experience with JRCERT accreditation standards and procedures.

Demonstrated supervisory and management experience, including staff evaluation.
-
Proficiency in curriculum design, program administration, evaluation, instruction, academic advising, and assessment of student learning outcomes (SLOs).
Preferred:
-
More than 3 years of full-time clinical experience.

More than 2 years of teaching experience in a JRCERT-accredited program.

Experience with distance learning and alternative instructional delivery systems.

Previous community college teaching or administrative experience.
