About the Role
Shape the future of dental hygiene leadership by joining Taft College as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Program (DNTL 4080). We are seeking experienced and motivated educators with proven instructional abilities to join our exceptional team of faculty and staff, dedicated to providing high-quality academic experiences for students.
This adjunct pool position is designed to identify potential instructors for temporary, part-time, or on-call assignments as needed. The course for the Spring 2026 semester focuses on Healthcare Management (3 Units) and is offered asynchronously online.
Course Overview
DNTL 4080: Capstone Course – Healthcare Management
This course provides dental hygienists with the foundational knowledge and resources required to become effective leaders and managers in the dental healthcare field. Students will explore leadership theories, management principles, and strategies for resource allocation within healthcare organizations. Emphasis is placed on developing a capstone project proposal and implementation plan, including defining project goals, assessment tools, objectives, and activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet one of the following academic criteria:

Master’s degree in Dental Technology or a closely related discipline; OR

Master’s degree in Business, Business Management, Business Administration, Accountancy, Finance, Marketing, or Business Education; OR

Bachelor’s degree in any of the above and a Master’s degree in Economics, Personnel Management, Public Administration, or Law (J.D. or LL.B.); OR
-
Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a business emphasis and a Master’s degree in Personnel Management, Public Administration, or Law (J.D. or LL.B.); OR
-
Equivalent qualifications (an Equivalency Request Form may be submitted with the application).
In addition, applicants must demonstrate:

Sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Hourly Rate: $77.02 – $90.50 per hour (based on education and experience)
