Position Summary
Johnson & Wales University (JWU) invites applications for a Full-Time Faculty position in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics. The selected candidate will provide students with a comprehensive, engaging, and innovative learning experience. Essential Job Functions

Demonstrate expert knowledge in the theory, skills, and pedagogy of nutrition, dietetics, or related disciplines.

Design and deliver current, relevant, and engaging course materials to support student learning and academic achievement.

Continuously assess and enhance instructional methods to improve learning outcomes.

Use formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and refine instructional approaches.

Advise students on academic planning, program selection, and career opportunities to promote professional growth.

Support university-wide learning outcomes initiatives by revising curricula, assignments, and assessment tools.

Contribute to curriculum development ensuring alignment with institutional standards and program outcomes.

Participate in faculty and committee meetings, professional development, and university events such as commencement and convocation.

Promote student success through engagement in clubs, organizations, and admissions activities.

Fulfill all duties and responsibilities as outlined in the JWU Faculty Manual.

Perform other assigned tasks supporting program and institutional goals.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, or a related field.

Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or other accreditation accepted by JWU).
Preferred Qualifications
-
Registered Dietitian (RD) certification.

Professional experience in foodservice management and/or culinary arts.

College-level teaching experience, particularly in nutrition or culinary-related programs.
Additional Information

Qualified candidates must live within or relocate to a commutable distance from the Charlotte Campus upon hire.
