Position Summary:
Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located just outside the Philadelphia Metro area, seeks a motivated and student-focused Culinary Arts & Hospitality Studies Success Coach to join its dedicated team. This part-time, grant-funded role supports students enrolled in Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies, helping them develop essential academic and professional skills for success.
The Success Coach collaborates with the Director of Culinary Arts, the Coordinator of Hospitality Studies, and other college departments to promote student achievement, retention, and degree completion. This position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills and an understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community college students.
This is a 10-month, part-time position reporting directly to the Director of Culinary Arts.
Essential Functions:

Provide individualized support and guidance to Culinary Arts and Hospitality Studies students.

Identify and assist students who may benefit from academic or personal development interventions.

Develop and implement academic success plans, including strategies for study skills, personal growth, and career readiness.

Offer programming to help students navigate college services (financial aid, tutoring, career counseling, registration, etc.).

Connect students with appropriate on-campus resources and support networks.

Maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for diverse students, faculty, and staff.

Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools for communication, documentation, and reporting.

Meet with students weekly during each semester to track progress and ensure continued engagement.

Monitor academic performance and provide progress reports to the Director of Culinary Arts.

Assist with advising, course registration, and other departmental responsibilities as needed.
Experience & Education:
-
Minimum of 1+ year of culinary or hospitality-related experience, technical training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least 2 years of experience working with non-traditional, at-risk, or disadvantaged students.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a related field required.

Prior experience in an educational setting preferred.
Supplemental Information:

Required background clearances: Act 34 (PA Criminal Background History), Act 151 (PA Child Abuse History), and Act 114 (FBI Clearance).

Verification of educational credentials is required before employment.
