Position Summary
The Alamo Colleges District invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty in Cosmetology. Teaching faculty are professional educators dedicated to the District’s mission of providing high-quality education and training to all students. Faculty members are expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching, advising, and facilitating learning while maintaining a professional and supportive classroom environment.
Adjunct instructors report to the department or program chairperson and serve as leaders, teachers, and advisors, ensuring that students develop the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the cosmetology industry.
Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate degree (AA, AAS, or AS).

Experience: At least three years of professional work experience in the field of Cosmetology.

Licenses/Certifications: Must hold one or more of the following:

Cosmetologist Operator License

Manicurist License
-
Esthetician License
-
Barber License
-
Preferred Qualifications
-
Teaching experience in a Cosmetology program.

Completion of an Educator Program in Cosmetology or related discipline.
Work Schedule

Flexible hours: Monday through Friday, with potential evening or Saturday classes as required by semester schedules.
