Position Overview
South Suburban College is seeking dedicated and knowledgeable Adjunct Faculty to teach a range of Manufacturing Technology courses within the Division of Academic Services. The selected candidates will contribute to high-quality technical education and help prepare students for success in the modern manufacturing industry.
Available Courses
The College is currently seeking adjunct instructors for the following courses:
MFG 101 – Manufacturing Safety
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

MSSC Certification (Manufacturing Skill Standards Council).
-
Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.
-
At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
MFG 103 – Quality and Measuring in Manufacturing
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.
-
MSSC Certification required.
-
Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.
-
At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
MFG 104 – Production in Manufacturing
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

MSSC Certification required.

Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.

At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
MFG 107 – Manufacturing Maintenance
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

MSSC Certification required.

Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.

MFG 121 – Industrial Safety
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.

At least 1 year of teaching experience.
Preferred: Master’s degree.
MFG 122 – Industrial Blueprint Reading I
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

Minimum of 3 years of related occupational experience.

Preferred: Master’s degree.
MFG 123 – Mechanic Drives I
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

MFG 124 – Electricity and Motors
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Engineering.

Qualifications Summary
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.

MSSC Certification (for applicable courses).

A minimum of 3 years of relevant occupational experience.

1 year of teaching experience in an academic or industrial training setting.
Preferred:

Master’s degree in a related discipline.
