Position Overview
The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) within the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology at Oklahoma State University (OSU) invites applications for an open-rank, career-track teaching faculty (CTF) position. The appointment may be made at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Practice level, depending on the candidate’s experience and expertise.
This is a renewable, non-tenure-track position focused on excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and educational innovation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting OSU’s teaching mission and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

Teach lab-intensive undergraduate and graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Cover both foundational courses (e.g., circuits, control systems) and advanced subjects in machine learning and artificial intelligence.

Advise and mentor ECE students on academic and career pathways.

Engage in student-centered activities, including outreach, curriculum development, and continuous program improvement.
About the School
The School of ECE includes:
-
20 full-time faculty members (including two current CTF faculty).

Over 480 undergraduate and 70+ graduate students.

Accredited BS programs in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (with a Software Engineering option).
ECE also offers MS, MEng, and PhD programs in Electrical Engineering, as well as a new joint MS in Artificial Intelligence, co-led with the Department of Computer Science. The AI program features three interdisciplinary tracks: Computer Engineering (CpE), Computer Science (CS), and Healthcare Administration (HCA).
Qualifications
-
Ph.D. (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching and student engagement at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

Industry experience or prior university-level teaching is highly desirable.
