Position Summary
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Michigan State University (MSU) invites applications for a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Dr. Alyssa Ryan’s Research Group, focusing on transportation engineering.
The selected candidate will:

Collaborate and mentor graduate and undergraduate students.

Lead tasks related to crash analysis and transportation safety data investigation.

Support ongoing research projects and proposal development.

Author and co-author scholarly research papers.
The initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on research productivity and funding availability.
Minimum Requirements

Ph.D. in Engineering or a closely related field.

Demonstrated academic excellence and research achievement.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a team and show high self-motivation.
Desired Qualifications

Expertise in data analysis using R or Python.

Experience with crash data analysis and transportation safety research.

Proven research publication record.

Project management experience.
