About the Role
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan invites applications for a Lecturer (Full-Time Teaching Faculty) position. The successful candidate will join a dedicated teaching team committed to experiential learning, engineering design, and professional development of biomedical engineers.

Areas of Interest
Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas are especially encouraged to apply:

Biomechanics – Develop new course content and modernize lab modules at introductory or advanced levels.

Bioinstrumentation – Advance upper-level courses and support existing programs in this area.

Biocomputation – Contribute to AI and machine learning courses in biomedical engineering.
Responsibilities

Teach up to 4 biomedical engineering courses per academic year (topics depend on expertise).

Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of the BME program.

Support departmental service and professional growth activities.
Qualifications
Required:
-
PhD in Engineering or Physical Sciences, or BS/MS with significant relevant industry experience.
