Position Overview
STLCC seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Criminal Justice department. The role involves delivering high-quality instruction aligned with STLCC curriculum standards, facilitating engaging learning experiences, and supporting student success. This is an onsite position, with face-to-face instruction required at the Forest Park campus.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and deliver course content using approved syllabi and instructional materials

Use the college’s learning management system (Canvas) for grading and online course activities

Assess and provide feedback on student performance

Hold office hours for student consultation (minimum of one hour per course)

Maintain required records and submit reports on time

Attend required trainings and meetings, including annual adjunct training sessions
Qualifications
Required:
-
Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, or a master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in Criminal Justice, Law (JD), Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology

Availability to teach face-to-face at least 2 days per week between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Preferred:

Experience with Canvas or other learning management systems

Ability to integrate technology and innovative learning practices into instruction
