Position Overview
Colorado State University is excited to invite applications for Adjunct/Part-Time Instructors to teach fully online courses in archaeology, cultural anthropology, and biological anthropology. This role is ideal for passionate educators who want to deliver high-quality virtual instruction to a diverse and engaged student community.
As openings arise each semester, qualified applicants from this pool will be contacted directly by the department chair.

Work Unit: Department of Anthropology & Geography
The department brings together experts in archaeology, biological anthropology, cultural anthropology, and geography. Faculty members conduct global research exploring the human experience, environmental interactions, political structures, and sociocultural dynamics. Courses offered reflect the field’s interdisciplinary richness and serve students across the College of Liberal Arts.
Position Responsibilities

Teaching (100%): Deliver high-quality online instruction for introductory and occasional upper-division courses.

Maintain student engagement, assess performance, and foster an inclusive virtual learning environment.

Coordinate with departmental leadership as needed to support academic goals.
No research, service, or administrative duties are required.
Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Anthropology or a closely related field.

Previous teaching experience at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Ph.D. in Anthropology or related discipline.
