Position Summary

DA/SO invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (Assistant Professor) with research expertise in cosmology and machine learning/data analysis. Ideal candidates will use ML techniques to improve modeling and interpretation of cosmic structure evolution and/or early universe physics and connect this work to current and future large datasets (e.g., DESI, LSST, Euclid, Roman, SPHEREx, Simons Observatory).

The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active research program, participate fully in undergraduate and graduate education, and contribute to advising and committee duties.


Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Astronomy, Physics, Planetary Science, or related fields

  • Demonstrated research expertise in cosmology and/or machine learning for astrophysics
