Position: Open Rank Assistant/Associate Professor – Clinical Breast Oncology Program
Type: Full-Time
Salary: $220,000 – $295,000 per year
Location: Aurora, CO (CU Anschutz Medical Campus)

Overview:
The Division of Medical Oncology at the University of Colorado Anschutz seeks a highly qualified early Associate or late Assistant Professor to join its growing Breast Oncology Program. The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills in breast medical oncology, general oncology knowledge, and an interest in clinical research. Candidates with experience in clinical administration or quality improvement initiatives will be prioritized.
Responsibilities:

Provide patient care in the breast oncology clinic (~2.5–3 days/week).

Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer clinics and inpatient rotations.

Lead and enroll patients in clinical trials (pharma, cooperative group, or investigator-led).

Moderate tumor boards and programmatic conferences; ensure adherence to evidence-based care and multidisciplinary pathways.

Monitor clinical program performance metrics and contribute to faculty and staff development.

Collaborate with Medical Oncology leadership to improve operational efficiency and integrate academic missions.

Participate in Cancer Center Operations Council and regional/national leadership meetings.
Qualifications:

Assistant Professor: MD or DO, board-certified in Oncology, eligible for CO medical licensure.

Associate Professor: MD or DO, board-certified in Oncology, 5–12 years of clinical, research, and educational experience.

Preferred: Clinical experience specifically in breast oncology.
