Overview:
The Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking a board-certified Cardiovascular Surgeon with specialized training in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team providing care for complex cardiovascular patients, participate in teaching fellows and residents, and contribute to research and clinical innovation.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex coronary revascularization, valve repair/replacement, and robotic cardiac procedures.

  • Teach and supervise residents and fellows.

  • Engage in research, innovation, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate within a dynamic healthcare system to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • MD/DO degree.

  • Board-certified by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.

  • Completion of general surgery residency and cardiothoracic fellowship (or integrated program), plus additional training in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery.

  • Licensed or eligible to practice in Indiana.

  • Strong leadership, teamwork, and teaching skills.

  • Passion for innovation and cardiothoracic surgical advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-fellowship experience in minimally invasive and robotic cardiac surgery.
