Position Overview:
The Department of Pathology at UAB is recruiting full-time academic surgical pathologists to support the growth and expansion of its subspecialty sign-out services. Appointments are available at all ranks, with tenure-earning or tenured positions offered.
Key Responsibilities / Opportunities:

Participate in subspecialty pathology sign-out and diagnostic services

Develop a competitive research program (basic, translational, or clinical focus)

Contribute to teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows
Minimum Qualifications:

MD, DO, or MD/PhD

Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology

Eligibility for Alabama medical license
-
For candidates beyond Assistant Professor, a national reputation in academic pathology and a strong research track record
Preferred Qualifications:

Subspecialty expertise in Genitourinary (GU) pathology
