Clinical Faculty – Physician Assistant Program (Adjunct/Part-Time)
North Carolina A&T State University’s developing Physician Assistant (PA) Program invites applications for a Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a 12-month, part-time appointment reporting to the Program Director.
Faculty in this role will provide student-centered teaching and clinical instruction to master’s level PA students. Responsibilities include curriculum development, student advising and mentoring, accreditation-related program assessment, clinical supervision, and scholarly research. Faculty are also expected to contribute service to the department, college, university, and the broader professional community.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver didactic and clinical instruction aligned with program competencies.

Advise, mentor, and support PA students in academic and clinical pursuits.

Develop and evaluate curriculum, course content, and assessments using modern pedagogical methods.

Supervise student independent research projects and support scholarly development.

Conduct research and disseminate findings through professional publications.

Engage in service activities within the PA program, college, university, and community.

Assist with program accreditation, admissions, and ongoing growth initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
-
PhD, EdD, DHSc, or professional doctorate in teaching or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Proven ability to establish and sustain a research program in relevant scientific areas.

5+ years of higher education experience.
-
5+ years of clinical experience as a PA.
-
Graduation from an accredited PA program.

Eligibility for PA licensure in North Carolina.

Current NCCPA certification.
