Part-Time Instructor – Physician Assistant Program
North Carolina A&T State University’s developing Physician Assistant (PA) Program is seeking three (3) Part-Time Instructors to provide teaching, research, advising, and other responsibilities as delegated by the Program Director. This temporary, part-time position supports student-centered learning for master’s-level PA students and contributes to the growth, accreditation readiness, and curricular development of the program.
Primary Responsibilities

Teach and provide clinical instruction in both didactic and clinical phases of the PA program.

Mentor, advise, and support students in independent research projects.

Assist with curriculum development, assessment tools, and program evaluation.

Facilitate data-driven curricular changes and student enrichment activities.

Maintain accurate records of student performance and program compliance with ARC-PA standards.

Participate in student recruitment, orientation, and events such as White Coat Ceremony, Graduation, and alumni activities.

Attend monthly Faculty and Curriculum Meetings and annual program retreats.

Develop syllabi, manage Learning Management System (LMS) course shells, and coordinate instruction.

Stay current in the field through research, professional development, and engagement with professional organizations.

Collaborate with healthcare partners to enhance program opportunities for students.

Model professional and ethical behavior at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Master’s degree required (Doctorate preferred).

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Minimum of 2+ years of clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
-
PhD, EdD, DHSc, or professional doctorate in a related field with a research record.

5+ years of higher education and clinical experience.

Graduate of an accredited PA program.

Eligible for PA licensure in North Carolina.

Current NCCPA certification.

Proven pedagogical skills and ability to develop curriculum and assessments.
