The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a dynamic, patient-centered Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for a full-time, Open Rank Instructor or Senior Instructor position. This role will be part of our expanding sleep medicine program at Children’s Hospital Colorado, providing outpatient clinical care and consultative services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient clinical care, triage, and consultative services within pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine.

  • Collaborate with faculty members and clinical teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Participate in program development, clinical education, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Work on-site in Aurora, CO, with eligibility for a hybrid work schedule as determined by departmental needs.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Instructor Level:

  • Licensed or license-eligible in Colorado as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant.

  • Registration with State Board Agency as Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant.

  • 1–3 years of pediatric clinical experience.

Senior Instructor Level:

  • Licensed or license-eligible in Colorado as an Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant.

  • Registration with State Board Agency as Advanced/Family Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant.

  • 5 years of pediatric clinical experience.

Condition of Employment:

  • Successful completion of a drug test and national criminal background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in sleep medicine, pediatric pulmonary, or neurology.

  • Prescriptive authority.

  • Experience with non-invasive ventilation, XLTEK sleep software, and inpatient care.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records, email, and medical technologies.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong pediatric clinical assessment skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build effective working relationships at all institutional levels.


Salary Range

  • Instructor: $103,000 – $111,000 per year

  • Senior Instructor: $113,000 – $121,000 per year

These ranges reflect the University’s good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime unless non-exempt.
