Research and Outcomes Coordinator – Principal Faculty, Physician Assistant Program
Lake Erie College, a co-educational, four-year liberal arts college located in Painesville, OH (30 miles east of Cleveland), invites applications for the full-time position of Research and Outcomes Coordinator for the Physician Assistant Program. Reporting to the Dean of STREAMS, this role is responsible for maintaining the self-assessment processes of the PA Program, supporting faculty and students in teaching, research, and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction:

Provide classroom instruction in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine, Professional Practice for the PA Profession, Research Methods and Evidence-Based Practice, Women's Health, and other guest lectures as needed.

Facilitate Problem-Based Learning and assist with assessments.

Maintain office hours of 6 hours/week, with a minimum of 4 days on campus.
Program Assessment & Accreditation:

Coordinate data, evaluations, metrics, and outcomes across admissions, didactic, and clinical phases.

Support ARC-PA accreditation processes, including self-study reporting.

Lead maintenance and analysis of program outcomes and metrics alongside PA faculty.
Curriculum & Student Support:

Coordinate curriculum components of public health, health maintenance, and other program elements.

Assist in designing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum and student handbooks.

Provide academic advising, counseling, and remediation as needed.

Participate in student recruitment, admission, and selection processes.
Clinical & Community Engagement:

Maintain collaborative relationships with clinical sites and preceptors.

Coordinate site visits and monitor clinical student progress.

Support student job placement and alumni engagement.
Scholarship & Professional Development:
-
Assist faculty and students with research, publications, and grants.

Participate in scholarly activities and professional development opportunities.

Attend annual PAEA Faculty Workshop within the first year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications & Key Competencies
-
Minimum Master’s degree required.
-
Nationally certified and state-licensed (or eligible) Physician Assistant, with ability to maintain licensure in Ohio.

5+ years of clinical experience preferred.

Experience teaching in an academic or liberal arts college setting.

Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
