Full-Time Instructor/Associate Professor, FSM Physician Assistant Program

The Physician Assistant (PA) Program within the Department of Medical Education at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor. This is a non-tenure-eligible faculty position focused on excellence in teaching, clinical education, and program development.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver year-round teaching, assessment, and advisement of PA students in both didactic and clinical phases of the curriculum.

  • Participate in student admissions, program evaluation, and curriculum planning.

  • Support ongoing program accreditation through continuous review and assessment.

  • Engage in scholarship, research, and professional development activities.

  • Contribute to the program’s clinical training curriculum, including development, implementation, and evaluation of student clinical rotations.


Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s or doctoral degree from a regionally accredited university in a discipline relevant to PA education.

  • Graduate of an accredited PA program or medical school.

  • National PA certification.

  • Eligible for Illinois state licensure to practice as a PA.

Preferred

  • Demonstrated teaching experience in a college/university-based PA program.

  • Experience with problem-based learning.


Compensation

  • Base salary range: $114,000 – $159,000 per year.

  • The final offer will reflect factors such as experience, qualifications, years since terminal degree, training, departmental budget, internal comparators, and external market standards.
