Title: Postdoctoral Research Associate – College of Pharmacy
Type: Adjunct/Part-Time (Full-time hours, 40/week)

Role Summary

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research in infectious diseases with a focus on cell signaling and drug discovery. The role involves working with hazardous chemicals, biohazards, and infectious organisms.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and design research experiments, including troubleshooting and optimization.

  • Collect, analyze, and present research data under the Principal Investigator’s supervision.

  • Train and supervise students in laboratory techniques.

  • Contribute to lab management and perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in biology, biochemistry, microbiology, or a related field.

  • At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postdoctoral experience in a related field.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in data analysis software.

  • Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Up-to-date knowledge of current research methods.

  • Understanding of laboratory equipment and operations.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions effectively.
