Role Summary
The Department of Allied Health Sciences at SWOSU seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician Instructor for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters. The role involves teaching, student mentoring, curriculum development, and participation in departmental activities under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver instruction in MLT courses and labs, creating active learning opportunities.

Develop course and lab content using effective teaching methodologies.

Communicate and collaborate with the MLT Program Director and faculty.

Maintain expertise in medical laboratory technology and teaching pedagogy via seminars and workshops.

Participate in professional organizations and service activities.

Support student activities, including advisement, mentoring, and career guidance.

Assist with student recruitment, enrollment management, and other departmental tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:

Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Allied Health.

Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).

Clinical laboratory experience.
Preferred:
-
Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Previous teaching experience.
