Role Summary
The Department seeks multiple Research Associates to join the Academic Support Staff. These positions are initially one-year appointments, renewable up to three years based on performance and funding availability. Candidates will contribute to cutting-edge research in longitudinal causal inference methods, epidemiology, biostatistics, or quantitative/computational science.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and apply statistical, causal, and machine learning methods for complex longitudinal data, including electronic health records, registries, biobanks, pragmatic trials, and cohort studies.

Collaborate on projects across palliative care, critical care, and health services research, working with faculty, clinician-scientists, epidemiologists, and biostatisticians.

Support methodological development for clinical trials, observational studies, and Bayesian causal inference applications.

Lead innovative methodological projects with increasing autonomy and contribute to peer-reviewed publications.

Engage in team science while building a path toward independent research.
Qualifications

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or related quantitative/computational field.

At least one year of postdoctoral experience.

Expertise in longitudinal causal inference, advanced statistical methods, or machine learning applications.

Strong collaboration, communication, and analytical skills.
