Job Description
This Postdoctoral Fellow role supports research within the Department of Pediatrics, Infectious Disease Division. The position provides advanced training under a designated Principal Investigator, building professional research skills and independence for a long-term scientific career.
Responsibilities include:

Designing, conducting, and evaluating experiments

Developing new research ideas aligned with laboratory goals

Preparing manuscripts and contributing to scientific publications

Collaborating with the PI on research progress and direction

Training or supervising research staff as needed

Managing or operating specialized laboratory equipment
This is a temporary research trainee appointment, initially for one year, renewable with satisfactory performance and available funding. Total appointment length cannot exceed five years.
Minimum Qualifications

Doctoral degree (PhD, MD, ScD, DVM, DDS, or equivalent) in a relevant field

Strong scientific writing skills

Effective oral communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with colleagues

Additional qualifications may be required depending on PI and project needs
