Position Summary
Rutgers seeks a Postdoctoral Associate in the Medical Immunology Department to support research in cancer immunobiology and immunotherapy.
Under the guidance of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoc will study T cell differentiation, metabolic regulation, and immune responses, aiming to identify new therapeutic strategies.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on metabolism-driven regulation of T cell differentiation and immune responses

Work with primary T cells (in vitro) and mouse models (in vivo)
-
Perform flow cytometry, Western blotting, qPCR, and other molecular biology techniques
-
Prepare detailed written experiment reports

Develop grant proposals based on research findings

Deliver oral presentations
-
Train and guide students, fellows, and junior lab personnel

Adhere to Rutgers compliance policies and core values

Perform additional duties as required
Salary Range
-
Minimum: $20,000
-
Mid-Range: $90,000
-
Maximum: $200,000
Final salary depends on qualifications, experience, funding availability, market benchmarks, and internal equity.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
-
Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant scientific field
-
Candidates near completion of their degree may be considered (documentation required before start date)

Experience with flow cytometry and metabolic analyses or willingness to learn

Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

Background in immunology, T cell biology, or cancer biology

Experience with mouse colony management and in vivo mouse studies

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, FlowJo, and GraphPad Prism
